Because the work of wine grower gathers 3 different works, each day, each month is different.

Before tasting a glass of Champagne Monmarthe, a lot of time has gone by , a team of 6 persons has worked to make you feel this moment of pleasure. Guided tour in Champagne MONMARTHE September: the Harvest One could think that the harvest marks the end of the year of work., yet it is not the end, but rather the beginning. In Champagne we harvest by hand. In Champagne MONMARTHE, we welcome more than 50 persons during 12 days. Each grape picker has his own part to play. The grape picker has the pair of secateurs and must pick the grapes as delicately as possible. The carrier has to give an empty basket to the grape picker and empty it in bigger baskets ( 50 kilos) The stevedore gathers the full baskets and thanks to his vehicle he has to bring them as quick as possible in the press.

The press is a pneumatic press of 4000 kilos which works day and night, we need 4 hours to press 4000 kilos of grapes which gives 2500 liters of juice .

During 12 days , Champagne MONMARTHE lives according to the pace of the harvest. Whatever the weather may be, the grapes have to be picked
